KOIKUCHI SHIRT ~
This shirt is worn as a costume for Japanese festivals.
It is said that the name comes from the shape of the round cuffs, which are said to resemble the mouth of a carp (Koikuchi).
Made of cotton, it absorbs sweat easily and dries quickly, making it suitable for festivals, taiko drummers, and other strenuous activities.
Since it was originally worn as underwear, it is made with gentle curves from the sides to the arms and has a silhouette that follows the arms.
CHERRY BLOSSOM DESIGH ~
This is a traditional Japanese pattern with a motif of cherry blossoms called "Sakura".
It is said that the cherry blossom pattern means "the beginning of things" because the sight of cherry blossoms blooming after a cold winter brings the joy of spring.
It is also said to mean "prosperity and abundance" because of the sight of cherry trees all blooming at once.
The cherry blossoms were often used for armor and other items, as they were favored by warriors not only for their gorgeous appearance but also for their purity at the time of their falling.
